Course Description: The Creative Jewelry Workshop focuses on teaching basic jewelry techniques for creating a piece of silver jewelry. Each participant will use the techniques discussed to create their own unique piece. Participants can choose to create either a silver pendant or a ring, which they will keep. This choice should be made during registration. Prerequisite Requirements: None Learning Level: Beginner Max # Students: 3 Duration: Meets once Course Objective: Create a simple pendant or ring by applying basic jewelry techniques learned in class In a relaxed and collaborative environment, participants will explore various techniques based on a theme chosen according to the workshop's time and location. The techniques covered include: • Sawing, filing, and sanding • Forming three-dimensional parts through embedding and folding • Creating textures • Finishing techniques Included In the Workshop: • Tools and equipment needed for the project • Raw materials (silver and/or silver thread for either ring or pendant) • Theory and technical support to understand the techniques and tools • A list of stores for purchasing materials • A participation diploma Finished Project Piece: a student crafted ring or pendant to keep
