At Metamorphosis Lab, we believe in fostering creativity through personalized guidance and expert instruction. By combining ancestral knowledge with innovative techniques, we help each student unlock their full potential and create truly unique pieces of jewelry.
Mission
Our mission is to share technical knowledge in the field of jewelry making as an essential ally for creative development. Our unique teaching style is uncompromising, with the success and progress of each student as our most important aspect.
Each training session is limited to a maximum of 4 students, ensuring that every project receives the individual attention it deserves.
Beginning Steps
Since 2011, Liliana has been offering jewelry workshops as her first contact with the general public to share her knowledge. She simplified basic techniques like sawing, filing, sanding, and texturing, so that each participant could create a finished silver heirloom within a 4-hour workshop.
In 2018, Liliana began conducting workshops more regularly, introducing the Portuguese filigree technique, a renowned form of intricate metalwork that has deep historical and cultural roots in Portugal, dating back to the 17th century.
Modular Training
In January 2023, modular training courses emerged, consisting of 16 hours, divided into 4 or 8 hours per week, depending on student desire to progress quickly.
Today, Metamorphosis Lab offers six practical modules featuring a range of increasing technicality and skill. Sessions meet weekly for 4 weeks, and are designed to be completed in sequence, with each session building on previously learned lessons. This approach enriches students with practical knowledge, allowing participants to create one or two pieces in each module. By the end, students gain greater autonomy and confidence in designing and completing future projects.
New Modules in 2025
We aspire to create a wealth of educational content tailored for those eager to expand their knowledge. In 2025, we will be introducing a follow-on series of Jewelry Techniques modules, in addition to interesting workshops for students of all skill levels.
Those with ambitions to enhance their skills through even more challenging projects, will find opportunities to grow their technical expertise, while enriching their professional portfolios.

Extra Time In The Studio
Metamorphosis Lab offers Open Studio sessions, outside of normal class hours, allowing students the opportunity to work independently and to explore their own creativity. Extra time in the Studio encourages participants to develop their own unique style, and to gain greater mastery of techniques and skills.

For aspiring jewelry entrepreneurs, we now offer personalized mentorship and coaching to guide you through the initial stages of your business journey. This includes understanding the positioning and value of your work, and providing helpful advice and necessary tools needed to put your ideas into practice.
Accentuate Your Creative Vision
